The World Series have just wrapped up. Let’s recap on it and how the teams got there. The World Series was between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Yankees, who were the number 1 seeds for the National League (NL) and American League (AL). The Dodgers had to beat the San Diego Padres and the New York Mets to be here, and the Yankees played the Kansas City Royals and the Cleveland Guardians.
Starting off with the Dodgers run in the playoffs, after their first round bye, they played the Padres first in a best out of 5 series. With them using all 5 of the games with the Dodgers taking the last win and winning the series 3-2. After that series the Dodgers had to take on the Mets in a 7 game series. The Dodgers took 3 out of the 4 first games, then lost in game 5. They won in the last game by a score of 10-5.
The Yankees as well got the first seed and a first round bye. After that bye they had to face the Royals in a 5 game series. The Yankees however only needed 4 games with them winning the series 3-1. Following that, they played the Guardians in the AL championship series. It’s a best out of 7 series, but again they need less games then they could have used. They won in 5 games with them taking the first 3 out of 4 games just like the Dodgers.
